Computer Hardware – Physical Parts Information of Computer

Computer hardware is the collection of physical elements that constitutes a computer system. Computer hardware refers to the physical parts or components of a computer such as the monitor, mouse, keyboard etc. all of which are physical objects that can be touched.

Central processing unit (CPU)
It Performs most of the calculations which enable a computer to function.
Motherboard
It is the “body” or mainframe of the computer, through which all other components interface.

Internal Buses
Connections to various internal components.


Power Supply
Supplies Power to run the rest of the computer.


Optical Drives
DVD players, mini-disc readers, DVD burners, CD readers and burners, and Blu-ray players.


Expansion Cards
Graphic cards, network adapters, fax modems, sound cards, and other conveniently upgradable computer additions.


Hard disk
Hard Disk for long term storage of data in computer.


Sound Card
Sound Card enables the computer to output sound to audio devices.
