You are 1 week pregnant beginning at the very start of the menstrual cycle. During your period when you shed the uterine lining, you are preparing the perfect environment for a fertilized egg.

While 2 weeks pregnant, you still aren’t technically pregnant yet, but you’re almost there. Doctors and midwives consider week 1 of pregnancy at the start of your menstrual cycle, so you are 2 weeks pregnant right before you ovulate.

There’s a whole lotta science goin’ on when you’re 3 weeks pregnant! You may not realize it, but there’s quite a bit of cellular activity happening in your uterus

Hopefully, while 4 weeks pregnant, you are in the know. It’s official, you have entered the world of pregnancy. Right now your baby is an embryo the size of a poppy seed.

You are 5 weeks pregnant. There’s a baby in there, and it’s growing like a weed! At this point of your pregnancy, your baby is about the size of an apple seed. However, while 5 weeks pregnant, your baby is much, much, much more complex than a plain ol’ apple seed

You’re now 6 weeks pregnant and your baby is now the size of a lentil. At 6 weeks, your baby’s face is looking more and more like a face. Their brain is also forming, and muscles and bones are well on their way
You’re 7 weeks pregnant and your wee-one is growing more baby-like at a light speed pace! About the size of a grape, the adorable arms and legs that will someday soon be splashing around in the tub have sprouted. While 7 weeks pregnant, your baby’s organs are growing more and more every day
At 8 weeks, your baby is is about the size of a kidney bean.Quite possibly one of the most adorable parts of your newborn baby are beginning to form – fingers and toes.
Now that you’re 9 weeks pregnant, your baby is about the size of a fig. The heart has divided into four chambers, and the placenta is formed and ready to do its big work of producing specific hormones for your pregnancy

You’re 15 weeks pregnant and your growing baby is about the size of an apple.
You’re 16 weeks pregnant and by now you’re starting to really feel pregnant! While 16 weeks pregnant your baby is about the size of a big pear.
You’re now 17 weeks pregnant and every week that baby inside of you is growing more and becoming more active. While 17 weeks pregnant your baby is about the size of the palm
You’re now 18 weeks pregnant, your baby must be busy flexing his arms and legs. His blood vessels are visible through his skin and his ears are now in their final position
While 19 weeks pregnant you should notice that your uterus is right below the belly button
You’re 20 weeks pregnant and you’re now about half way through your pregnancy! Your baby is around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel about the the length of a banana
While 21 weeks pregnant your pregnancy will seem more real to you than it has before. Your baby is as tall as the length of a carrot
While 22 weeks pregnant your breasts are also going through some big changes. The areolas are becoming darker in color and the first drops of colostrum are starting to appear. Your baby’s lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and it’s even developing tiny tooth buds beneath it’s gums, and it’s eyes have formed
While 23 weeks pregnant your belly is still growing. As the uterus grows it pushes some of the other organs around and against each other. With the sense of movement of your baby well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance
While 24 weeks pregnant you may feel as though you have a stuffed up nose or a head cold, especially at night. Your baby’s brain is also growing quickly now, taste buds are continuing to develop and it’s lungs are developing
While 25 weeks pregnant you’re one week closer to bringing your baby into the world. Your baby is beginning to exchange it’s long, lean look for some baby fat. Your baby’s wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and start to look more and more like a newborn. Your baby is also growing more hair.
While 26 weeks pregnant your uterus is about the size of a basketball. Your baby now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches.
While 27 weeks pregnant your baby will weigh just under 2lbs and is about 14.4 inches long. This is an exciting time in your pregnancy and the second trimester is almost over
While 28 weeks pregnant you’ve reached the third trimester in your pregnancy. Your baby’s also developing billions of neurons in it’s brain, and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world
In your 29th week of being pregnant you’ve most likely noticed those stretch marks that are making themselves very apparent on your body. Your baby’s muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and it’s head is growing bigger to make room for it’s developing brain.
You’re now 30 weeks pregnant. At this time in your pregnancy you’re most likely feeling heavier and more awkward than you have before. Your baby’s eyesight continues to develop, though it’s not yet very keen
Now that you’re 31 weeks pregnant you’re going to start feeling more tired than you have before in your pregnancy. Your baby can turn it’s head from side to side, and it’s arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath the skin
While you are 32 weeks pregnant you’re going to notice that your breasts are larger than they used to be. Your baby now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair and you baby’s skin is becoming soft and smooth as it plumps up in preparation for birth.
At this time in your pregnancy your baby is about 17.1 inches long and weighs over 4 lbs. As your pregnancy continues your baby will continue to get longer and gain weight
While 34 weeks pregnant your food cravings may be stronger than ever. Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds and is almost 18 inches long
You’re now 35 weeks pregnant and there’s only a month left before your pregnancy will be over and a new phase of your life with your baby will begin
36 weeks pregnant and your baby weighs about 6lbs. By the end of this week, at this point in your pregnancy, your baby will be full term. He or she will be in a head down position, ready for birth
While 37 weeks pregnant you should be getting a lot of rest as your life has hopefully slowed down by now in preparation for your baby’s arrival. Your baby is now considered “full term,” even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, it’s lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb
While 38 weeks pregnant you’re most likely going to notice that swelling is added to your other pregnancy symptoms. While 38 weeks pregnant your baby will most likely weigh about 6 to 7lbs, however this weight will vary from one woman to another.
You’re 39 weeks pregnant! Any day now you’re going to give birth to your new baby! At this time in the final days of your pregnancy your baby is still growing and at 39 weeks pregnant is about 20 inches long and weighs over 7lbs.
By the time you’re 40 weeks pregnant you’ll most likely be very anxious to see the end of your pregnancy. Your baby’s skull bones are not yet fused, which allows them to overlap a bit if it’s a snug fit through the birth canal during labor
Being 41 weeks of pregnant is a period of slowing down in your baby’s movements. A bit over 20 inches long, your baby has continued to grow and may now weigh almost 8 pounds
While 42 weeks pregnant you’ll be getting a lot of attention from family, friends, and your caregiver. Your baby is now officially late! When he or she finally arrives it will most likely be with skin that is dry and wrinkled from being in the womb for so long. Since you’re reached 42 weeks pregnant there really isn’t any room left in that uterus for your baby to grow any more. At this late week in your pregnancy your baby can barely move
